One spin out of 440 paid 206x
With 5 reels, 3 rows, 243 ways and a 95.89% RTP, Rakin' Bacon is playable from 0.88 to 88 credits. In my 440 spins at 1.76 credits, one spin, 255, paid 362.56 credits, 206.0x the stake, and held up the rest of the run.
The slot features the Jackpot Pick Bonus. Longhorn Jackpots, also from AGS, runs the same 12-coin Jackpot Pick Bonus off a base-game wild with four tiers, on 243 ways, with the same 1,136.36x max win. It features Free Spins. Wins pay for matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel, in any position on each reel.
The high-value symbols are depicted by four distinct symbols. These are Golden Pig, Gold Bars, Diamond Rings and Cash Bundles, and the Golden Pig is the highest symbol. A Diamond Rings hit on spin 344 paid 8.00 credits at the 1.76 stake.
The Wild is a gold coin with the pig's face. It lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4 in the base game and stands in for every symbol except the scatter. 3 or more Pot of Gold scatter symbols anywhere on the reels trigger the free spins. Rakin' Bacon's 243 ways are PowerXStream, the same name Fu Nan Fu Nu from AGS carries on its panel next to its jackpot meters.
Twelve gold coins, still face down
A Wild can trigger the Jackpot Pick Bonus at random in the base game, and you pick from 12 gold coins until 3 match to win Grand, Major, Minor or Mini. In my 440 spins it never came up, so I have no jackpot to report.
Five spins on the 5x5 grid
Any 3 or more Pot of Gold symbols trigger the Free Spins and you choose 15, 10 or 5 free spins at 243, 1,024 or 3,125 ways respectively. I got one trigger, on spin 302 with 3 Pots of Gold, and took the 5 spins on the 5x5 grid.
On the same reel layout, more Pots of Gold retrigger the Free Spins. Mine did not retrigger and paid 59.84 credits, 34.0x the stake, which was 8% of everything the session won.
Minty’s Closing Thought: There is naturally a ceiling in this slot, where the max win is 1,136.36x the bet, and this game truly is all or nothing. My session returned 94.3% and finished on 955.53 credits from 1,000, with 80 paying spins of 440 and a longest dry run of 23 spins, which is how a high volatility slot goes when one 206.0x spin does most of the paying.
