Fortune Factory Studios keep constructing their games around cash symbols and a collect mechanic, and this one adheres to the template, though the game does appear better than most of them and the studio is clearly at ease with this sort of game. Only the highest win is paid on each way. But there's one crucial aspect that the help screens don't keep up with. Nor is the help panel clear on whether the three jackpot values are fixed or progressive. That is the detail: no max win, no bet range, no volatility rating, no bonus buy price.

The return logged by my own session speaks in the game's favour, though, with 480 spins returning 157.4%. That came from a stake of 50.00, wagering 24,000.00 and winning back 37,765.00.

What pays and what the paytable hides

The game contains standard symbols and a wild. They win if two or more land in sequence on neighbouring reels, commencing from the leftmost position. The bison heads the standard symbols, ahead of the Seven and the Bell. The most valuable - the bison symbol - is worth 250.00 for six on a way. The paytable, though, is printed in cash at a bet level the game doesn't display, so none of it can be read as a multiple of the stake. The Cash symbol values are given no range and no cap either.

There are four specials alongside the standard symbols, and they carry every feature in the game: the Wild, the Collect Symbol, the Cash and Jackpot Symbols, and the Scatter.

Wilds, Collect and the jackpot meter

The Wild stands in for everything except Scatter, Cash, Jackpot and Collect. In the base game it shows up on reels 2 to 6. It never covers a Scatter, so it can play no part in triggering a bonus. In Free Spins it shows up on reels 2, 3 and 4.

Landing a Collect symbol collects all the Cash and Jackpot symbols presently on the reels. In the base game and in Gold Blitz, Collect shows up on reel 1 and reel 6. In both, Cash and Jackpot symbols show up on all reels.

The Jackpot symbol operates as a cash symbol but awards one of three jackpots. It is collected the same way the Cash symbols are: Mega, Major or Minor. The value of all three is displayed by the meter above the reels - Mega 125,000.00, Major 12,500.00, Minor 1,250.00.

Choosing between the two bonuses

3 or more Scatters award a payout of 1x, 2x, 3x or 5x the bet and a selection of two features. Taking the free spins yields 8, 12, 20 or 30 of them. For every Wild in a way win a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier is randomly awarded. Each one multiplies the win on that way. My first bonus of the session landed on spin 136 and paid 30.0x the stake. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatters award an extra 5, 8, 12, 20 or 30 free spins. One of my bonuses arrived four spins after the previous one, while another took 129 spins to show up. Free Spins are played with the same bet and ways as the triggering spin.

Only Collect, Cash and Jackpot in Gold Blitz

For 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatters, taking the other half of the selection awards 2, 3, 5 or 7 spins. Only Collect, Cash and Jackpot symbols show up. The buy acquires the bonus selection at 4, 5 or 6 Scatters. The choice offered at each level is the same one a natural trigger gives you. Buying 4 or 5 Scatters may award more. This is an amusing and action-packed slot for sure, and the selection of two features allows for distinctive setups in individual bonuses. Both halves of that selection are on the table at every trigger from three Scatters upwards. In 480 spins at 50.00 I saw seven bonus rounds, paying 15,000.00 between them - 40% of everything won.
