I'm assessing Panther Queen here now. I played 430 spins of it for this review. It is a video slot that balances components of traditional 5x3 play with a touch of a sixth-reel variation to it, and it's not a remarkable game I can state immediately. That session returned 53.4% of the amount wagered, and the balance never climbed above its starting level.
Panther Queen is a 5 by 3 video slot with 25 fixed paylines. Line wins need 3 or more matching symbols on a payline, and the paytable pays them as multiples of the total bet. It arrives with a Win Multiplier reel and Blazing Reels free spins, and the configuration may be basic, but there is a small twist to it. Aztec Gems and Fortune Gems 2 are other slots with a multiplier reel beside the grid.
Panthers, monkeys and a wild that fills its reel

In the pay table, the joint top symbol is the Panther Queen wild. It substitutes for all regular symbols and expands to fill its whole reel when it lands in the middle position. Five of it on a line award 16 times the stake, and other symbols on the reels feature panthers, monkeys, toucans, snakes, flowers and card symbols. The Panther matches the wild at 16x the stake for five, while five Monkeys pay 10x and five Toucans 8x.
What the sixth reel does to a line win
Panther Queen arrives with 2 mechanics. They are the Win Multiplier reel and Blazing Reels free spins, and the Win Multiplier reel is live on every spin, in the base game and in free spins, and it will then multiply all wins by the 1x-10x figure in its central position. The multiplier reel can land x3 on a base-game spin, which triples every win on that spin.
Two Pyramids, 224 spins apart
The remaining mechanic is the Blazing Reels free spins, and if you hit a Pyramid in the centre of reel 6, 5 free spins will be granted. That happened twice in my session, on spin 122 and again 224 spins later on spin 346. Although reels 2-4 spin together as one 3x3 Giant Symbol, each of the nine positions counts as its own symbol. My first round, on spin 122, paid 28.0x the stake. It's also possible to re-trigger the free spins mode. A second Pyramid in that round lifted it to 10 free spins. That will hand you 5 additional free spins for each further Pyramid. Retriggers carry no limit.
The Minty Take: The rules print 96.50% and my 430 spins came back at 53.4%, with both Pyramid rounds inside that figure rather than missing from it.
A 4,000x ceiling I got 28.9x of
On the favourable side, the 96.50% RTP is what the rules state. The 5-spin round on spin 346 paid 16.0x the stake, and the two free spin rounds together made up 19% of everything won. On the unfavourable side, however, I sense that the max win of 4,000x is much too low for me to get any genuine thrill out of playing it. Across 430 spins my best result was 28.9x the stake, on spin 122 with its bonus round included.
