This is a slot that is all about the bonus. That spin paid 87.50 in all, 35 times the stake. The bonus, by the way, requires five or more scatters to trigger; however, when the leprechaun at last hands over the free spins, you can anticipate a feature where every win pays triple.

So there is potential for some decent wins in the main game, especially with the aid of the respin feature that comes into play whenever something lands, and when it is triggered the winning symbols stay put while the remainder of the reels spin again. Only the highest win counts on any one line while that is going on. The respins keep repeating as long as new winning symbols keep appearing. My biggest single spin of the session, 132.50 on spin 229, came out of the base game at 53 times the stake. Across 260 spins it rarely produced any notable wins: 93 spins paid, and 63 of those paid less than the stake. The longest run without a win was nine spins, and it came early, ending on spin 9. So don't anticipate too much of it. The balance never dropped below 904.50 over the whole run.

Five scatters or nothing

By landing five or more scatter symbols, players trigger the free spins game the usual way, and five scatters award 10 free spins. Six award 15, and seven award 20. The gaps between my four triggers ran 64, 82 and 59 spins. Eight award 25, and nine or more award 30. Two of the four rounds retriggered.

The 3x multiplier on every feature win does make some sense, seeing how difficult it can be to land five scatters. My last round arrived on spin 243 and pushed the balance to its peak of 1,122.00. Either way, this game is all about the bonus. Take the 245.00 those rounds paid out of the 733.25 won and the session finishes below where it started. My 260 spins finished at 1,083.25 from a 1,000.00 start, a 112.8% return. The total staked across them was 650.00.

Naturally, I was wishing for something more novel, but at the same time, I'm pleased Lucky Leprechaun turned out to be something more than just a plain hold-and-respin game thanks to the tripled feature wins.
