Golden Egypt by IGT unfolds in one of the brightest places on earth, and I am speaking about the scorching sands of Ancient Egypt. Only the highest win on each payline is paid, and wins on different paylines are added together. Winning combinations are created when identical symbols land on one of 25 fixed paylines, left to right from the far left reel, and Egypt is a familiar theme, as you are no doubt aware. Following up on the paytable uncovers rewarding symbols, a wild and a scatter, and beginning with the lower value pay symbols, you'll run across jewels, sphinxes, and Nile boats at the low end. Five Sphinxes or five Nile boats pay 60x the line bet, or 2.4x the total stake, and five of either jewel pay 50x the line bet, or 2x the total stake. The man with staff and the woman with staff are the next two symbols down. These are both worth 100 times the line bet for a line of five. Anubis and the winged goddess sit just below them, at 75x the line bet, or 3x the total stake, for five.
Worth still more is the Pharaoh symbol, at 300x the line bet for five of a kind. That comes to 12x the total stake, and the Pharaoh, which takes up 2 positions on a reel, is the only symbol that pays from 2 of a kind. The wild stands in for all symbols except the Bonus, and wilds only appear as complete Wild reels. Several reels can be Wild at the same time.
The Coin Meter and the Synchronised Stacks
A reel goes Wild for the following 2 spins when 2 Coin symbols land on that reel. A Coin meter above each reel shows how many Coins that reel has collected, and it resets once the reel's 2 Wild spins are over.
One random symbol is stacked across all reels before each spin, and it is never the Bonus, Coin or Pharaoh. This is the Synchronised Reels feature, and in the session it put stacked Anubis and stacked Nile boats on the reels.
Coins appear in the base game exclusively. In the base game the Wild Stays 2 Plays reels turned up on reel 3 alone, on reels 1 and 5 together, and on reel 2 beside a stack of Nile boats.
Picking Wild Reels for the Free Spins Bonus
Keep a watch out for the Bonus symbol, which is the scatter. It counts anywhere on the reels rather than on a payline. Hitting three or more triggers the Free Spins Bonus. All four bonuses in the session came from exactly 3 Bonus symbols, on spins 349, 379, 382 and 429.
