Gorilla on top of 432 ways
The logged session ran 400 spins at a 240-credit stake, and the balance went from 100,000 to 47,200.
The game carries with it 5 reels in a 4-3-3-3-4 arrangement. This signifies 432 ways to win. A win is a run of matching symbols on neighbouring reels, starting from the leftmost reel.
The symbols that form the paytable are divided between low pay royals (10-A), and high pay on-theme symbols, with Gorilla the most lucrative standard symbol. 5 of a kind yield 10 times the stake. The Wild symbol is on hand to assist with this. The Wild pays nothing by itself.
The wild only appears on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5. It can deputise for any symbol except Butterfly and Congo Cash, and the paytable also notifies players of a stated RTP of 96.51%. Five of a kind pays 2.5x the stake on the Leopard and 2x on the Baboon, while the royals top out at 0.75x.
What the Jewel Board drops
Congo Cash isn't shy of those either, when it comes to mechanics. The Jewel Board sits above reels 2, 3 and 4, and because each jewel holds its own prize, free spins jewels and cash jewels can show side by side.
Matters warm up when the Butterflies become involved, and the Butterfly symbol appears on reels 1 and 5 exclusively. The Congo Cash symbol lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4, directly under the jewels. If Butterflies appear on reels 1 and 5 plus at least one Congo Cash symbol, they activate the Jewel Board. There, the jewel above each Congo Cash symbol falls down and awards its prize. It is cash from 5x to 200x the bet, a jackpot or free spins:
Jackpots – Minor 25x, Major 100x, or Grand 2,000x the bet.
Free Spins – A series of 8 to 100 free spins. Every free spin has at least one guaranteed Wild on the reel where Congo Cash landed. In the logged session the first free spins jewel dropped on spin 8 and dealt 8 free spins, which played out with no retrigger and paid 19.0x the stake.
Eight spins, then fifteen
The Jewel Board remains live during free spins and can award extra free spins. A 20-spin dry run ended on spin 28, and two spins later a jewel dealt 15 free spins that were retriggered and paid 26.0x the stake.
Minty’s Expert Conclusion: On the bonus front, Free Spins work when those guaranteed Wilds are raising win ways, and the Jewel Board comes into its own when multiple Congo Cash symbols land together to collect the prizes. Either way, payouts have been capped at 2,200 times the stake.
