The Hot Spin Wheel arrives on top of the reels rather than on a screen of its own, and it settles what a spin will be before the symbols finish landing. Three Hot Link rounds came out of 280 spins at a 4.00 stake, three respins each, none of them reset — and the payout that moved the balance was a…
It was launched in November 2021 by iSoftBet. I played 280 spins of it at a 4.00 stake. It does have a far more intricate bonus game than a plain line-pay slot. Three of those bonuses turned up across my session, on spins 127, 195 and 253. That bonus game can grant prizes as high as 250x through the Hot Prizes reel. That is the largest figure the help screens print, and it attaches to a single 3x5 symbol rather than to a round.
Hot Spin Hot Link's action unfolds on a 5-reel, 3-row game board, and there are 20 fixed paylines. The wheel that drives most of the features arrives over that grid rather than on a screen of its own.
Ordinary line wins happen when matching symbols drop left to right on neighbouring reels from the leftmost reel, and only the greatest win per line pays. My 280 spins produced 82 paying ones, and 45 of those came back under the 4.00 stake. Large wins are achievable by collecting Hot Link symbols in the bonus. Three bonuses in 280 spins accounted for 304.00 between them, 14% of everything I won. There is a wild symbol too. The biggest single payout I recorded came out of the base game instead: 1,060.00 on spin 226, 265 times the stake. The wild replaces everything except the Hot Link symbols, and it is valued 5.00 for five of a kind at a 0.20 bet, equal with the Diamond. Spin 31 was the next largest at 328.00, or 82 times the stake.
The features in Hot Spin Hot Link hang off two things, the Hot Spin Wheel and the Hot Link bonus, and the wheel can trigger on any base spin. How often it arrives is not quantified anywhere in the help screens. It supplies one of four results — 5 to 10 wilds added, 2, 3, 4 or 5 reels flipped wild, a random x2 to x25 multiplier on the triggering spin, or an immediate entry into the Hot Link bonus. In the frames I kept, the wheel dropped over the reels and stopped on Multi Win, so the shape of the spin was settled before the reels resolved.

Otherwise, 5 or more Hot Link symbols in sight grant the bonus. It came three times in my 280 spins, with 68 spins between the first and the second and 58 between the second and the third. It is a respin round rather than free spins, it begins with 3 respins, and every landing symbol restores the count back to 3. iSoftBet had already built Hot Spin, the earlier game in the series, and Million Coins Respin, an earlier respin-and-lock game. Symbols join into bigger Hot Link symbols at 2x2, 2x3, 3x2, 3x3, 3x4 and 3x5, with values ranging from 1x-5x for a single cell up to 100x-200x for a 3x5, and Mega 3x3, 3x4 and 3x5 symbols spin a separate reel for the Hot Prizes: Hot 50x, Hotter 100x, Hottest 250x. That ladder is printed above the grid the whole time, base spins included. At the close of the respins every exposed value is multiplied by the triggering bet and added to the total win. Mine came out at 200.00, 64.00 and 40.00 against the 4.00 bet, so 50x, 16x and 10x.
In addition, Spin symbols drop inside the bonus bearing boosters, and Extra Life adds 3 additional respins at the finish, while Multi Boost lifts the end-of-round multiplier. None of my three rounds reset their respins or ran past the first 3. Symbol Add drops in 1 to 3 additional Hot Link symbols. Those extra symbols can join into the larger sizes like any other. Prize Boost raises each Hot Prize by 50x. Whatever has landed, the prizes are all turned over together once the round closes.
The Minty Summary: Three Hot Link rounds paid 304.00 of the 2,170.00 I won, and the one spin that decided the session was a base-game line hit of 1,060.00 on spin 226 — 265 times the stake, with no bonus attached to it. The round with the game's name on it was not the round that moved the balance.
Well, it is hot, so there is no bragging in the title, and Hot Spin Hot Link has a small reel set, twenty fixed lines, and a math model tuned to a medium setting. My balance ran from 1,000.00 down to a low of 911.60 and up to a peak of 2,062.40 on spin 231. Of all the parts, the wheel might be the most divisive for some players. It is also the route into the bonus that does not need five Hot Link symbols on screen. It determines for the player whether a spin becomes wilds, a multiplier or the bonus itself. The longest I went with nothing at all was 11 spins, ending on spin 273.
Or perhaps it won't matter a fig. The 280 spins cost 1,120.00 and finished with the balance at 2,050.00. Hot Spin Hot Link still has a breezy, arcade vibe, the respin round is where the money is, and the possible rewards top out at 3,000 times the bet.
Technically, Hot Spin Hot Link doesn't do much other link games didn't; it merely wrings a few additional thrills out of the popular format with the wheel.
