I was a bit more intrigued than usual when starting up Book Of Tribes for my review, with the book layout being what it is and Spinomenal having assembled more than one slot on it. At first I presumed the potential was modest, after having viewed the splash screen, and I was fairly let down.

Apart from the ordinary symbols, you'll also encounter the Golden Book. Nothing else on the reels does anything but pay a line. It performs both jobs at once: it stands in for other symbols on the lines, and it pays and triggers from any spot. That means one landing can pay the scatter award and start the feature at the same time. Three Books pay 2x the total bet. The wheel picks before the spins start

What the ten lines gave back

There's a decent amount to say about this slot - the single dual-purpose Book keeps everything straightforward. My best spin outside the feature was 55.00 at a 5.00 stake, 11 times it. As it turns out the max win is 5,000 times the total bet, but my own 400 spins were not the game showing it: I wagered 2,000.00 and won back 820.50, a 41% return. The low point was 3,674.00, which is where the second trigger found me. The balance was never once rising above the 5,000.00 I began with. It closed at 3,820.50.
