Plinko turned out to be a remarkably pleasant game, and though it appears rather simple and elementary, in operation it’s cheerful and quite amusing. Only 22 of those 350 balls returned the stake or more, and the other 328 paid between 0.7x and 0.9x. It’s distant from being a groundbreaking drop game, or a rival to the heavy hitters in the genre. The most common landing was 0.7x, which took 204 balls. But it handles the fundamentals, and it’s difficult to conceive of anything massively faulty with it. The best single ball was number 213, which landed in the 15x slot second from the edge and paid 120.00.
Where 1718.7x Sits on the Board
Plinko might not cater to the diehards who desire a steep potential volatile ride. The longest run of balls returning less than the stake was 48, ending on ball 142. The 3,843.3 times the stake win potential might be a lure, though. That ceiling depends on the chosen configuration, and at Medium risk with 16 rows the outer slots top out at 1718.7x, with 100x beside them, neither of which I hit.
Altogether Plinko is a solid enough slot. Several balls can be in flight on the board at once, and the Risk and Rows settings can only be changed once all of them have reached the bottom. There are no significant doubts, and as noted it checks all of the correct boxes, but it simply doesn’t possess vast amounts x-factor or provide anything extremely thrilling to try out.
