Dangerous Beauty Slot – Free Demo

Provider: High 5 Games
At the start of every round in Dangerous Beauty, each stacked block on a reel turns into one symbol, and when four reels agree the whole 40-line grid pays at once. That is how spin 165 of my 380 at 1,000.00 returned 18,000.00 in the base game, while six Free Games Bonus rounds added 99,200.00.

Stacks, Scatters and Seven Free Games

Dangerous Beauty originates from studio High 5 Games, and fun is supplied by Super Stacks and free games, as well as a wild that pays on its own. Wins pay on 40 paylines, on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel, and only the highest win on each line is paid.

Dangerous Beauty employs the Super Stacks mechanism. The mechanic runs in the base game and in the Free Games Bonus alike. It is applied under licence from IGT. IGT also owns the Dangerous Beauty name itself, which High 5 Games uses under the same licence. Here, at the beginning of each round, stacks of symbols on the reels change into one symbol. When the stacks fill reels 1 to 4 with the same premium symbol, every one of the 40 lines carries a four-of-a-kind on the same spin.

The rules are where you'll locate a theoretical RTP figure of 96.0%. In my session of 380 spins at a stake of 1,000.00, I wagered 380,000.00 and won back 297,000.00, a return of 78.2%.

Four Swordswomen on Forty Lines

Symbols are divided into highs and lows. The three women pay from two of a kind, while the leopard and the black panther start paying at three. The highs, at least, are where I get a leopard, a black panther, a white-haired lady with a parasol and a lady in a red kimono, crowned by a dark-haired swordswoman. On spin 165 of my session, four dark-haired swordswomen landed on all 40 lines and paid 450.00 each, a base-game win of 18,000.00 at a stake of 1,000.00.

It might have been nice to get more background to make sense of what is unfolding. The game gives its symbols no names and shows them as pictures only. But the empty canvas does let punters devise their own if they're eager. On the lesser side are A, K, Q, J and 10, and the wild is the Dangerous Beauty symbol. It substitutes for every symbol except the scatter in the base game, and for all symbols during the Free Games Bonus.

Where the Jade Scatter Takes Over

Central to the gameplay here is the Super Stacks mechanism. The scatter appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4. How it operates is that every stacked position on a reel turns into the same symbol at the beginning of each round, and in the base game, the stacks can turn into the scatter too. During the Free Games Bonus the scatter drops out, and the stacks can only become the wild, one of the five premium symbols or A, K, Q, J and 10.

Hitting the green jade beast scatter on all positions of reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers the Free Games Bonus, which grants 7 free games on different reels. In my session the bonus triggered six times, first on spin 66 and last on spin 376. They are played automatically at the triggering lines and wager. The bonus ends when no free games remain, and the Bonus Complete screen shows the amount won only when the cumulative winnings exceed the total bet.

There is a last note. No extra free games can be granted during the bonus round. Each of my six bonuses ran its 7 games and stopped, paying between 2,200.00 and 50,000.00.

A Theme Doing the Heavy Lifting

Since there isn't much else unfolding, Dangerous Beauty confidently rolls with its theme. Across 380 spins, 156 paid something, and 101 of those paid less than the 1,000.00 stake.

The Minty Take: Figures aren't awful. The six bonuses paid 99,200.00 between them, 33% of everything the session won. But they aren't precisely a draw either.
