The bees fly into a hive that fills to five

Push Gaming invites you on a trip around the hive in Wild Swarm. The game lists three features for itself: Wild Symbols, the Free Games Feature and the Swarm Mode Feature. You are escorted by bees, a queen and a chest packed with rewards. It is the Chest that opens the Pick Feature Bonus, which lays out five hidden Instant Prizes and awards the one you pick. It's a high variance slot that comes bundled with several appealing features such as Sticky Wilds and the Pick Feature Bonus, and at its core it's a collection type slot, with the Collectable Bees feature in play throughout. In the base game those Instant Prizes include Bet Multipliers running from 2x the bet up to 250x, a trigger of the Free Games Feature and a trigger of Swarm Mode. It's basically a build-up feature. A Bee Symbol landing anywhere flies into the Hive above the reels and is collected, leaving a Wild Honey Symbol behind in its place, recurring until the Hive is at level 5. Once the Hive is full at level 5, any further Bee Symbol carries a chance that the Hive explodes and the Swarm Mode Feature is triggered.

Wild Swarm is playable on both desktop and mobile devices, and it comes with an above average RTP of 97.03%. The original arrived on June 19, 2018, and Push Gaming built on the same hive idea twice more, in Wild Swarm 2 on February 29, 2024 and Wild Swarm Triple Hive on July 30, 2025. The basic 5x4, 20 betline setup is not new to Push Gaming, although the feature combo is. Only the highest win is paid on each line, and wins on separate lines are added together.

Three symbols pay from two positions

As you spin the reels you'll encounter the Bee Symbol and the Money symbol. The Money symbol is one of only three that pay from two positions, the other two being the Wild and the Sticky Wild. There are feature symbols too, alongside the Queen Bee: the Hive Symbol and the Chest Symbol. The Hive acts as the Scatter, so three or more of them anywhere on the reels are enough. There's Wild Honey featured as well, along with the Sticky Wild. The Sticky Wild only turns up inside the Free Games Feature and Swarm Mode, never in the base game. Both substitute for everything except the Hive and the Chest. Below the wilds and the Money symbol, the Queen Bee is the top paying symbol on the paytable.

Seven Free Games from the Hive, eight from the Chest

The chief attraction of this trip is the bonus, and to obtain access you will have to land 3, 4 or 5 Hive Symbols. The Pick Feature Bonus is a second way in, and that route awards 6, 8, 9, 10 or 12 Free Games. These will go on to grant you 7, 10 or 15 Free Games to start with. Both bonus rounds in this session ran to 8 free spins, and neither of them retriggered. The curious thing here is that Sticky Wilds appear in the feature. They also drive the Swarm Mode Feature, which starts with a number of Sticky Wilds already added to the reels and 10 free spins awarded. They are held in position until it is over. The two rounds that landed here paid 240.00 on spin 71 and 560.00 on spin 104, or 24.0x and 56.0x the stake. The Pick Feature Bonus applies here as well. Inside the feature its Instant Prizes are 1, 2 or 5 extra free spins, or a Sticky Wild Enhancement. The mixture of held wilds and Sticky Wild Enhancements makes for quite an exciting bonus, and those Enhancements are Shifting Wilds that shift every Sticky Wild one position to the left, or Expanding Wilds that expand one Sticky Wild vertically to fill its reel. When Swarm Mode ends a fresh Hive appears above the reels, already at level 2, 3 or 4.

Two rounds carried half of what came back

Wild Swarm is a rather straightforward slot with heavy emphasis on the Free Games bonus and its Sticky Wild feature, and as a result you'll be confronting a volatile slot that can be a little bit dull in the base game, lacking engaging features. The longest dry run of the session was 18 spins, ending on spin 132. Over 250 spins at a 10.00 stake the game returned 63.4%. The balance went from 1,000.00 to 86.00, with 2,500.00 wagered against 1,586.00 won. There were only 56 paying spins, and half of those paid less than the stake. The best spin outside the bonuses was 140.00 on spin 53, 14.0x the stake. The two bonus rounds, 8 free spins each, paid 240.00 and 560.00, and between them they made up half of everything won. The second one took the balance to its peak of 1,147.00, and it came 33 spins after the first. I also can't help but sense that the mathematical design is a reused one, although it's most likely just a Déjà vu impression due to the rather all-around ordinary Push Gaming setup, and what I mean to say is, it's not as inventive or forward-thinking as I would have liked it to be. After those two rounds the next best returns were 86.00 on spin 82 and 44.00 on spin 101, 8.6x and 4.4x the stake.

Wild Swarm is clearly fueled with good intention, and overall it's not a poor slot.
